External Affairs Manager, The DMA


Zach Thornton is external affairs manager at the DMA. Since joining the DMA, he has focused on lobbying on privacy and data protection legislation. Most noticeably, working with UK and EU institutions to achieve a balanced General Data Protection Regulation, and now working on the ePrivacy Regulation to ensure that the new legislation doesn’t cripple businesses. He is passionate about politics and current affairs, having stood as a candidate for Borough Councillor in the May 2014 local elections in Tower Hamlets, London.
