Visitors to this year’s Kent 2020 Vision LIVE will be able to get advice on all aspects of international trade from the Kent International Business (KIB) area. A number of KIB partners, such as Enterprise Europe Network South East UK, will be on hand to give advice and support to Kent companies looking to internationalise their business and international businesses looking to locate in Kent or develop trade links with the county’s companies.
There’s any number of reasons why a local company might want to expand into Europe. They might be keen to find new markets for their product, or find a co-developer for their product (if it’s pretty high-tech), or even find a partner to join a bid for major European funding. There’s also one big reason why not: it’s often too difficult to find the right partner.
If you visit Enterprise Europe South East UK on stand 667A, their job is to find the needle in the haystack. This publicly-funded initiative is aimed at making it easier for local businesses to link with Europe with greater ease and success. It’s a free service and has helped raise millions of pounds worth of investment for local companies – but their profile is surprisingly low. (Enterprise Europe South East UK is the local branch of the expansive Enterprise Europe Network, which comprises of 600 business development agencies across 46 countries).
The system works via an online database, where you can search for like-minded companies with which to trade and collaborate. The team will even help you post your own profile to help find just the right contact.
So while you’re visiting Kent 2020 Vision LIVE on 19th April, make sure you look out for the region’s best kept secret for linking with Europe.
