For our latest exhibitor success story we caught up with Biddenden Vineyards’ Event Lead, Will Barnes. Will explained how Business Vision LIVE helped the company put their product in the hands or a wide range of potential customers.
For a business like Biddenden Vineyards, with its range of award-winning wines, ciders and fruit juices, getting their product into the hands of prospective customers is critical. Put simply, the best way of winning a new customer is for them to experience their products.
Because of this, events play a vital role the vineyard’s marketing plans. They have a presence at a blend of consumer-focused and trade-based events, attending up to 40 in a typical year.
As a broad-based business event, which doesn’t focus on a specific trade sector, Business Vision LIVE is not typical of the events where Biddenden exhibit. However, it offers the company plenty of opportunities as the vineyards’ event lead, Will Barnes, explained: “Everyone is a potential customer, and Business Vision LIVE presents us with a wide range of individuals.
“We get to meet our typical trade customers, from hotels, bars and retailers, but also a much wider range of businesses who can use our products for their events, staff incentives and a host of other ideas.”
“I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the event to other organisations “
Beyond the trade prospects Business Vision LIVE presents, Biddenden also benefit from a huge audience of potential consumers.
“Almost every visitor to the exhibition has the potential to become a customer—either by going on to visit the vineyard shop or when they see our products in a shop, bar or restaurant,” continued Will. “If we can give them the opportunity to taste our products at Business Vision LIVE, the likelihood that they will choose them when they see them elsewhere is much higher.
It’s this breadth of potential that has seen Biddenden involved in Business Vision LIVE since the event began over a decade ago.
Will explained why: “Biddenden Vineyards are a Kentish heritage brand; the oldest commercial vineyard in Kent. So of course, having a Kent-focused event, in a fantastic venue at the heart of the county—with a large audience from Kent and beyond—makes it an exhibition we simply can’t afford to miss.”
The support they get from the event team was also something Will highlighted: “We do a lot of exhibitions and I have to say that Business Vision LIVE is an effortless event to work with from an organisational perspective. The team are always so helpful; before, during and after the event. While the venue, particularly its accessibility, makes it a great experience too.
All these factors add up to make Business Vision LIVE an event Will would happily recommend: “We value being given the opportunity to engage with Kent-based businesses and consumers, something which Business Vision LIVE does exceptionally well. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it other organisations with a similar set of objectives.
