Formerly an academic, politician, and consultant, William provides insight on Brexit from more than 10 years as a lecturer in Public and EU Law, over 5 years at Westminster as MP for Glasgow North East, a member of the Business, Innovation and Skills Select Committee and a shadow Minister for Food and Farming, Transport, and Scotland during the 2010-15 Parliament, and advising companies on financial services and Brexit with Inline Policy before joining the BRC in June 2017. An Honours and Masters graduate in Law from the University of Strathclyde, he has written and spoken widely on European and UK politics and public policy.
