As we hinted in our last blog post, we can now confirm that the event will be changing its name to Business Vision LIVE for its fifteenth annual outing in 2019. This new name reflects the event’s position as the UK’s largest broad-based business event outside London.
The brand is evolving to reflect the widening remit of the event and the high quality of speakers and workshop content that have become an integral part of the visitor proposition. As the event’s organisers, we believe that the new name will also help to overcome any illusions that Kent Vision LIVE is a small-scale networking forum relevant only to local companies, rather than a large multi-faceted business show that matches many national exhibitions in size and scope.
Since the event first ran as ‘Kent 2020 Vision’ in 2005, it has gone from strength to strength as an important annual fixture for hundreds of exhibitors and more than 3,000 attendees every year. Recent keynote speakers have included household names such as ITV’s Robert Peston and the BBC’s Steph McGovern, complemented by experienced commentators from national organisations such as the Bank of England, the Institute of Directors, the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), the British Retail Consortium and the Chartered Institute of Marketing. While a myriad of industry innovators from companies such as Superdry, British Airways, Chapel Down, Gu and Pret A Manger have given delegates unrivalled insights into their business journies.
“Whilst our location at the Kent Event Centre and our local expertise will always ensure a strong Kent bias, the event has slightly outgrown its name and already attracts an audience from all over the South East,” said Rich Tribe, Joint Managing Director of Revolution Events, the Kent-based owner and organiser of the event. “We are keen to keep extending our geographical reach to generate even more business for the hundreds of exhibitors that take part each year – and this will be helped significantly by a name that more accurately reflects the event’s breadth and inclusivity.”
The re-branded Business Vision LIVE will debut on 15th May 2019 and continue to be run in close collaboration with founding partners Kent County Council, The KM Group and the Kent Event Centre, who are equally full of enthusiasm for the new name and ambitious plans for the future.
