This week saw the launch of the visitor marketing campaign for this year’s Kent 2020 Vision LIVE, by introducing Kenny, the show’s first illustrated visitor.
Kenny and his friends Carol, Chris and Claire, have been created in collaboration with Lavender Blue Media to provide an entertaining 90-second summary of Kent 2020 Vision LIVE 2014 and the many benefits to be gained by visiting the show on Wednesday 14th May 2014.
“As the economic recovery continues to gather momentum, we wanted to remind the business community how much can be achieved in just one day at a top quality business event,” explains Chris Callander from BSK-CiC, owners of Kent 2020 Vision LIVE. “We have grown to become the UK’s largest regional business event by delivering fresh inspiration, practical advice and outstanding business opportunities year-after-year. But because there is now so much on offer during the day, it can sometimes be difficult to explain the fundamentals in an easily digestible format. Hence, we thought we would harness the huge potential of video as a communications medium to present the show’s central ‘elevator pitch’ in a simple and highly visual way. At the same time, I hope we are demonstrating the use of innovative marketing techniques by example, in line with our core theme for 2014: Innovate to Grow.”
The Kenny character will also be a central component of the visitor marketing campaign running from February to mid-May, including press advertising, email, radio, direct mail, editorial coverage and social media. Plus personal guest appearances around the county in glorious 2D.
